The brief
The Chestnut Appeal is a South West charity that specialises in raising awareness of men’s health issues such as prostate, testicular and penile cancer. With the onset of Covid-19 in 2020, the number of men utilising screening services for men’s health issues took a dramatic dip. Sadly, cancer does not discriminate from Covid-19, and our brief was to create an outdoor media campaign that would remind people of the importance to check yourself and consult their GP in the first instance if you had any concerns.
The work
We executed a thought-provoking outdoor media campaign across Devon and Cornwall. The aim was not to lecture but to bring the subject to the front of the audience’s mind with a tongue-in-cheek approach to a serious subject. To maximise reach, we used a number of different advertising media including 48 sheet display boards and the bus advertising that offered a lot of reach across the two counties. As well as booking the media, we develop the creative concept for the campaign.
The results
“It was a real pleasure to work with Fuel and get this important message out there. Despite the onset of Covid-19, it was vital that men check themselves regularly. By using some humour and impactful design, I am sure that this campaign will helped to save some lives and underline a very important message”
