Award winning clients

To us, there’s no better feeling than seeing our clients pick up awards. Partly because we tend to play a role behind the scenes in putting submissions together but mainly because we work closely with the people involved and have witnessed their leadership and commitment first hand.
Over the past couple of months, we’ve been involved in some absolute beauts!
Headteacher up for Teaching ‘Oscar’
Ernesettle Community School headteacher Aaron Meredith (pictured above) has won a silver award for headteacher of the year in the Pearson National Teaching Awards. This fantastic achievement automatically nominates him for the gold award and the winner will be announced at the ‘Oscars for teachers’ in October. You can see his reaction to picking up the award a surprise assembly at Plymouth Herald – also, well played Aaron for doing TV and radio interviews on the same day he walked into school thinking it was going to be a normal day!
Laura Whyte named Business Leader of the Year
Whyfield’s MD was genuinely surprised to pick up Business Leader of the Year at the Cornwall Business Awards “I still can’t believe it! It was a really strong category so I was proud to have made the shortlist but I never for one minute thought I would actually win it!” We were less surprised given that Laura has led her team to 50% client growth over the past 12 months whilst encouraging each and every member of her talented team to keep growing – one of the reasons why they were also shortlisted for Best Place to Work too. Smiles all around
Dental social enterprise Smile Together extracted the Best Outreach or Community Initiative prize at the national Dental Awards 2019 in Birmingham. Their brilliant Smiles at Sea campaign saw a team of volunteers take a mobile dental unit over 1000 miles to fishing communities across Cornwall and Brixham who rarely get to see a dentist due to the demands of their work. In 2018, 70% of those we seen hadn’t seen a dentist for at least 5 years. Find out more about the impact of Smiles at Sea here.
