Fuel creative director steps down

One of Fuel’s founders, Creative Director Dave Smith, has decided to step down at the end of this month as a director and shareholder of the company in order to start his own business.
Dave will continue his association with Fuel as Creative Consultant as we continue our commitment to ever increasing and engaging creativity across all channels.
Commenting on his decision to step down, Dave said: “It has been a very difficult decision to leave Fuel after 7 very great years in which we delivered some highly successful campaigns and established ourselves as a leading integrated agency. I now feel the time is right to tackle a new challenge and undertake more brand development projects, which is something I personally enjoy. I’m sure the guys will continue to grow Fuel and I look forward to supporting them but in a different capacity.”
“As a founder of the agency he had played a significant role in building the business and establishing its reputation for fuelling demand for clients from Plymouth and London. He has invested tremendous energy and creativity into the company and earned the right to do something new in the future. I wish Dave nothing but success and look forward to continuing to work with him – ensuring that our clients continue to benefit from his highly-valued creative direction.” Explained Fuel MD Martyn King.
“Dave has been a real driving force in the business and I’m sorry to see him go,” said fellow Fuel founder Steve Gyseman. He continued: “He is a good friend so on a personal level I’m excited for him and fully support his decision.”
