Fuel Welcomes International Marketing Intern
Fuel has recently welcomed Tabea Brassel, a BA (Hons) International Business and Management student from the Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Venlo, the Netherlands to join the team on a 6 month placement.
Tabea has recently, successfully completed an exchange semester at Plymouth University, where she spent part of the semester on developing a Marketing Plan for Ginsters of Cornwall on how to increase market share and growth in a 12 month time frame. In this project she gained essential marketing insights and further developed her analytical and critical thinking skills.
Tabea’s university provides the opportunity for many practical experiences in real world scenarios, she was able to take responsibility of marketing activities in projects ranging from the creation of a Business Plan to a project called “Mini Company”, that included establishing a real registered company and creating a unique and sustainable product.
During these projects she had undertaken extensive market research, conducted a STP analysis, designed a commercial poster and business cards, created and managed content for social media accounts like Facebook and Instagram and fostered customer contact at personal selling events like Christmas markets. All these activities helped her deepen her understanding of Marketing and Communications.
Upon joining Fuel, Tabea said: “I am very excited to have the opportunity to work for such a progressive and professional company. Right from the start I had the feeling that I was part of the team and that I am very much involved and responsible for projects whilst receiving supervision when I need it.”
Commenting on her arrival, Ross Collins, Account Executive at Fuel, said: “Tabea will be a great addition to the team and has already shown a willingness to get stuck in with tasks. I think she will bring a new perspective to our brainstorming sessions which will be a great benefit to our clients.”
Martyn King, Managing Director at Fuel explained: “We are delighted to continue our commitment to giving young marketers the opportunity to gain valuable experience and develop their knowledge. We’re very proud of the fact that many of our alumni have either continued their career here at Fuel or have gone on to secure great careers either in industry or with other leading agencies.”
