Fuel strengthens it’s intern team
Fuel has expanded the team further with the addition of another intern, Rebecca Kerle a BA (Hons) Marketing placement student at Plymouth University.
Prior to joining Fuel, Rebecca completed five months of her Marketing placement year at Portlebay Popcorn where she gained experience in selling and merchandising products. During her time there she was part of some of the food shows they exhibited at ranging from the London Taste Festival to Plymouth Flavour Fest: ‘I loved being part of the shows as it was great fun and it demonstrated the importance of excellent customer service’.
Whilst at university Rebecca completed various modules including Buyer Behaviour, Advertising and Branding and Digital Marketing from which she achieved the IDM award: ‘The modules that were the most engaging were those that applied to real businesses for example the Digital Marketing module required me to create a tailored marketing plan for an active company which had specific goals I needed to meet’.
Additionally, whilst at university Rebecca undertook a role as a student ambassador which required her to assist with new and prospective students looking to join the university including delivering campus tours and assisting in meet and greets.
On her arrival Rebecca said: ‘I’m really excited about starting work with the Fuel team and gaining practical experience in a live environment. I think Fuel will be a great environment to learn in and apply some of the knowledge I have taken from my studies’.
