The brief
As a business, Arborcure already has a long-established reputation for doing things in the right way and their standing as top quality tree surgeons and landscapers is second to none across the South-West region. Although they’re a regular client of Fuel’s, they did approach the team for a specific reason and that was because they needed a promotional video that would showcase the quality of work they did and the breadth of services they offered.
Arborcure wanted to use the video at the Devon Business Show where they were an exhibitor. The plan was to have this running in the background throughout the time that the stand was open and could be used as an ‘ice breaker’ when people visited. It was important that it was an engaging package that demonstrated the type of work that Arborcure do and that it touched as many points as it could during the short period that it ran for.
The work
Filming for videos such as this one for Arborcure is never as simple as the end product suggests. The key to everything is detailed planning in advance to make sure that by the time you come to editing, you have all the footage you need and so much more.
We arranged a planning meeting with the Arborcure team where we discussed objectives needed and the end results required. Following this, a full day of filming was planned that would enable us to capture footage of the various, specialist machinery being used at different locations.
This not only included traditional hand-held camera work and scene set up, but it also included drone footage that enabled us to secure some additional, more dramatic footage. The intension here was to give the finish product a highly professional, more engaging style, that was designed to hook the Devon Business Show audience in at a very early stage.

Client quote
“From identifying the need for a brand video, Fuel were brilliant in creating a video that truly summed up the service we provide in an engaging way for people at the Devon Business Show to watch. We had a planning meeting with Vicktor and discussed what we wanted the video to do and on the day of the shoot the team were on hand to discuss any ideas to include, ensuring we got the footage we envisioned.”
